Now AIR Library at the Rajasthan International Centre, Jaipur

Vice President's Secretariat//Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav//Posted On: 27 OCT 2024 ;1:32PM by PIB Delhi

Text of the Vice President’s Address at the Inauguration Ceremony of the AIR Library for Advocates at the Rajasthan International Centre, Jaipur (Excerpts)::

Jaipur//New Delhi>
27 OCT 2024 (PIB Delhi//The Media Screen Online)::

Justice MM Shrivastava, Honourable Chief Justice Rajasthan High Court, a remarkable human being. क्या शुरुआत की है, दिवाली का तोहफा दे दिया आपको, अपने तरीके से दे दिया| Sir, as a member of this Bar, I am grateful.

Honourable justice Inderjeet Singh has his own mannerism, his own working pattern. I have not had the occasion to appear before him in court but outside court, he's a gentleman.

I have had the occasion to be member of Bar Council of Rajasthan. I could not become Chairman and I could not be representative to Bar Council of India because of a Rule. Advocate Prahlad Sharma ji, I greet him if he is not present in his absence, President of the High Court Bar Association.

I'm an old timer but presence of the district judges, members of the judiciary on this occasion, I am greatly touched.

When I became Vice President of the country, In the very first week or so, I was invited by the Supreme Court Bar Association. I Had been its member. The honourable Chief Justice and other justices were present that was a good occasion. I have been in that bar for quite long. As a matter effect, I became member of that bar a little before I was designated a senior advocate. So my connection with that bar was about three decades or more.

I have been created by this bar. N L Tibrewal, very high ethical standards. I would say the highest we can ever have. Totally non compromising when it comes to integrity, He valued his commitment to profession more than his bank balance and the God was very kind to him. He was high court judge not for a long period, a decade or so but he became acting Chief Justice, was acting governor for about a year.

1940, if I am not mistaken Sudhanshu Ji, all India reporter

I had gone digital then, तो मेरे दफ्तर में मैंने कोई किताब नहीं रखी और तब टेक्नोलॉजी ज्यादा नहीं थी आज के दिन टेक्नोलॉजी का आलम यह है, if we speak in terms of Bharat home to one-sixth of humanity, we account for more than 50% of global digital transactions. यदि आप अगर इंटरनेट कंजंप्शन की बात करोगे प्रति व्यक्ति तो per person data consumption of internet for an Indian is more than that of China and USA taken together. हमारे डिजिटल ट्रांजेक्शन जो हो रहे हैं उनके हालत यह हैं की you combine all the digital transactions of USA, UK, France and Germany, फिर भी हमारे उनसे चार गुना है ऐसे भारत में इसकी शुरुआत का बहुत बड़ा मतलब है. I congratulate the leadership of the Bar and also Members of the Bar.

Technology adoption is no longer luxury, it is no longer a need, it is the only way out. आज के दिन यंग लोग अप्रिशिएट करेंगे, मेरी उम्र के लोग कम करेंगे they will appreciate that disruptive Technology have come. we are on a cusp of very big change artificial intelligence, internet of things, machine learning, blockchain. Let there be technological sessions where you come to know about it. Your quality will go up

The journey from Dand Vidhan to Nyaya Vidhan is a significant journey unshackling us from colonial mindset and colonial legacy. जुलाई से तो लागू हो गए हैं, this is boon to the young lawyers. You can now steal the march and please be part of it.

यदि अगर आप ऐसा करेंगे and you will mix it with technology, you will have great gain. I had the good fortune to preside the Council of States, the House of Elders, the Upper House when these three legislations were passed.

A very powerful committee went into each and every provision, it was analyzed at micro level.

Special event dedicated to World Photography Day

Sunday 18th August 2024 at 3:55PM

Photographers organized blood donation//medical camp

Chandigarh Photographers Association, Manav Kalyan Parisar, Evoke Builder and Kumar Brothers and Unimark Pharma India Limited jointly organized a program at the Community Center in Sector-22

Mohali: 18th August 2024: (Kartika Kalyani Singh//Media Screen Online)::

The history of photography is very old, but the history of photography's relationship with the media is also not new now. Today's media is incomplete without photos or videos. During this duty of camera with the media, journalists faced dangers many times, but journalists accepted these challenges even by risking their lives. Remembering this period of life related to the camera, photo-journalists also organized a medical checkup camp and also donated blood. It is important to mention here once again that all this was done in connection with World Photography Day.

Chandigarh Photographers Association, Manav Kalyan Parisar, Evoke Builder and Kumar Brothers and Unimark Pharma India Limited jointly organized a blood donation and medical checkup camp at the Community Center in Sector 22, Chandigarh dedicated to World Photography Day. On this occasion, Councilor of Ward No. 22 Anju Katyal and Councilor of Ward No. 17 Damanpreet Singh attended as special guests. Association President Gurcharan Singh and all the members donated blood in the camp and called upon the people to come forward for this work.

All the photographers present on this occasion shared their experiences while sharing their views about World Photography Day. All the blood donors were appreciated by the guests who reached the camp and other people were also asked to contribute in social service. Association President Gurcharan Singh and Chairman Naresh Sharma honored all the blood donors and presented mementos to the dignitaries. On this occasion, people were examined by specialist doctors of Medicine, Orthopedics, Skin, ENT, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Acupressure, Gynecology and Physiotherapy and free medicines were given as per the need. On this occasion, all the members of Chandigarh Photographers Association and Manav Kalyan Parisar as well as photographers associated with various organizations also participated.

It is worth noting that World Photography Day is celebrated every year on 19 August. The purpose of this day is to honor the art and science of photography and appreciate the contribution of photographers. The celebration of this day started with an important announcement made by France in 1839, when they shared the Daguerreotype process with the world, which was the first practical method of photography.

Photography is not only a medium of art, but it is also a way to cherish historical and personal moments. In today's time, the development of digital photography has made it more accessible, making it more popular.
